
On 23 July 2025, representatives of the Association Forgotten Children of War held a meeting with the Minister of Labour, Social Policy and Return of Tuzla Canton in Tuzla. The focus of the meeting was the implementation of the Federal Law on Civilian Victims of War, with particular emphasis on ensuring adequate housing solutions for children born as a result of conflict-related sexual violence.
During the discussion, the need was emphasized for legal provisions not to remain merely at a formal level, but to be translated into concrete, sustainable, and dignified solutions for those to whom the law applies. The Minister demonstrated openness to dialogue and the exchange of information, representing an important step toward improving the rights and protection of this particularly vulnerable category of civilian victims of war.

With the aim of further action and the practical application of the law at the cantonal and local levels, the following steps were agreed:
These steps form part of a coordinated effort to ensure the consistent and effective implementation of the Federal Law on Civilian Victims of War, and to ensure that the rights of children born of war are recognized not only in legislation, but also in everyday practice.
