Refund and Returns Policy

Introduction

Thank you for supporting Forgotten Children of War. We are a non-profit organization based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicated to supporting children affected by war. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which we may issue refunds for donations received through our website.

Donation Refunds

• General Policy: Donations to Forgotten Children of War are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that errors can occur and will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
• Eligible Refund Requests: Refunds may be granted in the following situations:
  • The donation was made unintentionally or in error.
  • The donation amount was incorrect.
  • The donor’s circumstances have changed materially, such as a transaction made with a stolen or lost card.
• Request Procedure: To request a refund:
  • Submit a written request within 30 days of the donation date.
  • Include your full name, contact information, donation amount, date of donation, and the reason for the refund request.
  • Send the request to info@zdr.ba.
• Processing Refunds:
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the request.
  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
  • If the donation was made by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card.

Recurring Donations

• Cancellation: Donors contributing on a recurring basis can cancel future donations at any time by contacting us at info@zdr.ba.
• Refunds: Refunds for recurring donations follow the same procedure as single donations and must be requested within 30 days of the transaction.

Tax Considerations

• If a refund is issued for a donation for which a tax receipt was provided, it is the donor’s responsibility to adjust their tax records accordingly.
