In November 2021, the mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, born Londrc, hosted the team of the Forgotten children of war Association in the City Hall.
Ajna Jusić presented the work of the Association as well as the rights and needs of children born of war, and pointed out the importance of adopting the Law on Civilian Victims of War, which should also include this 26-year-neglected category of children.
Mayor Karić showed great interest in helping and participating in our work and emphasized:
“The turbulent history of these areas has left lasting consequences on our society, and we must all be aware of that. It is our duty not to leave the victims alone in their struggle. The city of Sarajevo has zero tolerance for violence and wants to help the Association in its activities and the process of healing war traumas.”
