The “Forgotten Children of War” Association has been honored with the prestigious “Cesena City for
Peace” award in recognition of its exceptional efforts in defending human rights and promoting
peace over the past year.
“We are deeply grateful to the Municipality of Cesena and the Ernesto Balducci Peace Center for
acknowledging the importance of our commitment to building an inclusive society,” said
representatives of the Association.
During their visit to Cesena, the Association’s representatives also visited the “Vincenzo Monti” high
school, where they introduced students to the work of the Association and discussed the new law in
the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which legally recognizes children born as a result of war.
They also highlighted the critical importance of preventing sexual violence in conflict.
