Ajna Jusić in Brčko at a Meeting with Mayor Zijad Nišić

The Mayor of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Zijad Nišić, held a meeting today at City Hall with representatives from the associations “Forgotten Children of War,” “Foča 92-95,” and the Association for Assistance to Women Victims of War Violence and Sexual Abuse “Suze” of Brčko District.

The discussions focused on critical issues affecting these groups, with Ajna Jusić, President of the “Forgotten Children of War” Association, attending on behalf of her organization.

Since the War Victims Act came into force in Brčko District in May 2023, ten months have passed. In response, the “Forgotten Children of War” Association invited government representatives to engage in discussions regarding its implementation.

The visit included a meeting with the Mayor of Brčko District, discussions with members of the legislative and executive branches, and conversations with representatives from war victims’ associations. As a result of this meeting, active collaboration was established between the association and government representatives in Brčko District, along with continued communication with the War Victims Sector.
